     On today's stop we visit the elegant offices of MindYourSkin™, and Julia H. Cohen, MD, PC Easily accessible at the junction of West Chester Pike and the I-476 in Havertown and in a state-of-the-art building featuring a surgicenter and fitness facilities, this growing dermatology practice goes back thirty years. Dr. Cohen herself is celebrating her 14th year in Dermatology! The suite and its staff are inviting and tastefully decorated, including the photography by Dr. Robben lining the walls and light boxes in  the exam and treatment rooms.
      Four seasoned physicians are firmly based in medical dermatology and are certified by the American Board of Dermatology. They treat all skin problems in all age groups. "Acne, eczema, and psoriasis may sound 'ordinary' but they can be fickle and are often more effectively treated by a dermatologist", says Dr. Cohen. "We are consultants to other physicians.      At Mind-Your-Skin™, it is Dr. Robben who administers Botox® Cosmetic ,  injectable fillers (Juvéderm® Ultra & UltraPlus, Radiesse®, Prevelle®Silk, Restylane®, Perlane®), fractional CO2 laser and infrared skin tightening, IPL and LaserGenesis photo-rejuvenation,  laser and light-based treatment for redness and pigmentation, acne, capillaries and spider veins. Through his association with clinicians who do SmartLipo™ Laser BodySculpting and Vaser Liposelection® he can pre-screen you to see if these procedures are right for you. Dr. Robben is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and is a distinctive Platinum Plus injector with Allergan, the maker of Botox® and Juvederm®.

     The three licensed estheticians are personable, dedicated and knowledgeable. They always work under the guidance of the physicians. They teach skin-care, and perform laser hair removal, waxing, medical grade microdermabrasion, custom facials and peels, sunless tanning, as well as eyebrow/eyelash tinting.

Skin Rejuvenation:

Mole patrol:
      Dr. Cohen: "It's hard to assess your own 'moles', but most melanomas are detected by patients or their family! Any new, changing or symptomatic (itch, bleeding etc.) mole can signal skin cancer. Growing, raised, irregularly shaped or colored, large, or just plain 'funny'-looking ones warrant a doctor exam. Most 'pigmented lesions', such as sunspots, fortunately are not 'melanoma' but are made up of benign cells and result from aging, including sun exposure".
     "We recommend a full skin exam and medical grade sunb-protection for anyone with a personal or family history of skin cancer, abnormal moles, 'pre-cancers', or excessive occupational or recreational sun exposure. Skin cancers can be eliminated if caught early! When needed, patients also benefit from a close affiliation with the best skin cancer surgeons in the area.

Slip!Slop!Slap!:
     This catchy slogan is from a hugely successful public health program in Australia, first in stemming the rising tide of skin cancer. "So, slip on some sensible clothing, slop on the sunscreen, and slap on a hat!" Dr. Cohen suggests. Fine, silky feeling, true sunblocks and sunless tanning products are available through this office.
